The short answer is yes, but how difficult the jobs is depends on which engine sub-frame is fitted to your car. From about chassis 100 Quantum were offering the Zetec engine sub-frame as an option. There are 2 excellent web sites giving detailed instructions on what you are required to do. Daryl Webb (who's website is no longer available) and Jim Hearne were probably about the first owners to fit Zetec engines into their 2+2s. Several owners have already successfully fitted a Zetec engine into there 2+2. The engines chosen are usually the 1.8 130PS or 2.0 Zetec engines as this upgrade is usually carried out for increased performance, but the Zetec is also smoother than the CVH.

Major parts that you will need to change or modify are:

  • Injection fuel tank required for it's swirl pot
  • Engine wiring loom for the ECU and it's sensors
  • Chassis rail - off side (Diagrams from Daryl, Upper, Lower and External)

These photos from the side and front show Daryl's completed install and diagrams with dimentions.
