Any polish containing ammonia is not good for Polyester (gel coat) and will eventually cause the resin to break down. This gives the blooming effect in the gel coat. A good polish to use and one that Quantum Sports Cars recommend is Autoglym, which is an easy to use polish and does not contain ammonia.
